There will be 02 papers for HPAS (Preliminary) Examination, one is General Studies and another is of General Aptitude Test. Both the papers will be of 200 marks each containing 100 questions of multiple choice objective type and time duration will be of 02 hours.
Paper –I General Studies
This paper shall be of 200 marks and there shall be 100 objective type (Multiple choice) questions from the syllabus of History, geography, political, art & culture and socio economic development of Himachal Pradesh.
- Current events of national and international importance.
- History of India and Indian national movement.
- Indian and World Geography physical, social, economic geography of India and the world. Indian polity and governance – Constitution, political system, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues, etc.
- Economic and social development – sustainable development poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives, etc.
- General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate Change – that do not require subject specialization and General science;
