MCA appoints Sangeeta Verma as acting Chairperson of CCI : The government of India has appointed CCI member, Sangeeta Verma as the acting chairperson of the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

Her appointment came into effect from 26th October 2022. She will remain in office for three months or till appointment of regular Chairperson or till any further orders, whichever is the earliest. She has replaced Ashok Kumar Gupta, who relinquished office after a four-year tenure.
