A satellite placed in the halo orbit around the L1 point has the major advantage of continuously viewing the Sun without any occultation/eclipses. This will provide a greater advantage of observing the solar activities and its effect on space weather in real time. Earlier, on July 14, ISRO, taking to Twitter informed that Aditya-L1, the first space-based Indian observatory to study the Sun was getting ready for the launch.

Due to the risks involved, payloads in earlier ISRO missions have largely remained stationary in space; however, Aditya L1 will have some moving components which increases the risks of collision. Other issues are the super hot temperatures and radiation in the solar atmosphere. However, Aditya L1 will stay much farther away, and the heat is not expected to be a major concern for the instruments on board.

- Effects of Variation in Solar Weather System: Variations in this weather can change the orbits of satellites or shorten their lives, interfere with or damage onboard electronics, and cause power blackouts and other disturbances on Earth.
- Knowledge of solar events is key to understanding space weather. Continuous solar observations are required to learn about, track, and anticipate the impact of Earth-directed storms. Many of the instruments and their components for this mission are being manufactured for the first time in the country.

National Film Awards
The National Film Awards, held annually, stand as a beacon of honor in the stream of Indian cinema. The National Film Awards are organized by the Directorate of Film Festivals, under the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. They celebrate films that demonstrate not just aesthetic and technical quality, but also social importance, demonstrating the power of cinema as an art and impact medium.
History of National Film Awards
The National Film Awards were founded in 1954 as “State Awards.” Only the best films in various regional languages were nominated and awarded at the time. In 1967, it started giving awards for actors and technicians working on the films. The first actor to win Best Actress Award was Nargis for her performance in Raat Aur Din while Uttam Kumar won the Best Actor Award for Antony Firingee and Chiriyakhana.
The National Film awards have come a long way since the first prizes were given out for films in 1953. The number of awards has increased over the years. Initially called ‘State Awards’, with two President’s Gold Medals, two certificates of merit and silver medals for a dozen regional films, for the first six years, it was the practice to give the Regional Best Award to the National Best Film itself. Over the years the number of awards increased.
Separate awards for artists and technicians were instituted in 1968 for the films of 1967, Nargis Dutt and Uttam Kumar being the first actress and actor to get the Best Actress (then called Urvashi) and Best Actor (then called Bharat) Awards respectively.
The awards are given in three sections: Features, Non-Features and Best Writing on Cinema.
While the selection of winners in the Features and Non-Features categories recognises excellence in cinematic achievements in various categories, the ‘Best Writing on Cinema’ section encourages the study and appreciation of cinema as an art form, as well as the dissemination of information and critical appreciation of the art form through the publication of various books, articles, reviews, newspaper coverage, and studies.
The Awards aim at encouraging the production of films of aesthetic & technical excellence and social relevance contributing to the understanding and appreciation of cultures of different regions of the country in cinematic form, thereby also promoting unity and integrity of the nation. The winners of the awards are decided by the Jury comprising persons distinguished in the field of cinema, other allied arts and humanities.
India’s Men’s Relay Team Finishes Fifth at World Athletics Championship
The Indian men’s 4×400 metres relay team comprising of Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal and Rajesh Ramesh ended in the fifth position in the 4×400 metres relay race final at the World Athletics Championships 2023.

RBI has announced to enhance transaction limits for small value digital payments in offline mode to ₹500 from the earlier cap of ₹200.
