Union Home Minister announced that all canteens of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) like the CRPF and the BSF will sell only indigenous products from June 1 to 50 lakh family members of about 10 lakh personnel.
The total purchase value of the move by MHA would be around Rs.2800 crore.
Under this move, 50 lakh family members of about 10 lakh CAPF personnel will use indigenous products.
MHA directed the people to use the products made in the country as much as possible and encourage others to do the same.
The move aims to turn the COVID-19 crisis into an opportunity.
