Geography is concerned with the Description and explanation of the areal differentiation of the earth’s surface. Now, whether you think that sentence was creative, entertaining or even poetic, it’s certainly accurate.

Geography is an all-encompassing discipline that focuses on the characteristics of both natural and human phenomena that are related to space.

Landforms provide the base on which human activities are located. The plains are utilised for agriculture.

Plateaus provide forests and minerals. Mountains provide pastures, forests, tourist spots and are sources of rivers providing water to lowlands.

Geography is often defined in terms of two branches: human geography and physical geography. Human geography is concerned with the study of people and their communities, cultures, economies, and interactions with the environment by studying their relations with and across space and place.

Physical geography is concerned with the study of processes and patterns in the natural environment like the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and geosphere.
