The setting up of ‘Virtual Police Stations’ in educational institutions is set to become a reality soon, with Chief Minister scheduled to inaugurate the first such facility in the State at Andhra University. The AU facility is being looked at as a pilot project, and this will later be replicated at other educational institutions.

This facility would make it easy for students to report their grievances help bridge the gap between students and the police department, further resolving their issues. Varsity officials provided the space, infrastructure, technical support and a dedicated block to the virtual police station. This is another friendly policing initiative which brings students closer to the police. Students can send their complaints through an email.
