Assam government is likely to write to the Union home ministry, seeking a ban on Popular Front of India (PFI) for its alleged role in the large scale violence in the state during anti-CAA protests on December 11 and 12. The state government is waiting for some evidence from the Central Forensic Laboratory (CFL) before taking a call on sending a proposal to the MHA to ban the organization.
