The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal has announced the expansion of the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR) in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh by developing new infrastructure within the campus. This is in continuation to the focused approach to develop the AYUSH sector in the entire northeast.
Speaking at the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR) at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh, the minister announced an investment of Rs 53.72 crores to develop new infrastructure within the campus. Under this, a new Ayurveda College with 30 seats and a new Ayurveda Hospital with 60 beds will be established.
For this, direct employment for 86 posts will be created. NEIAFMR is an autonomous National Institute under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
