Bangalore City University to be Renamed After Dr. Manmohan Singh

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has declared that Bangalore City University will be renamed Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru University to honor the late former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The government plans to transform it into a model university by integrating Government Arts College and Government RC College as its constituent colleges. Furthermore, the Karnataka government has committed to substantial investments in higher education, which includes filling 2,000 vacant teaching positions, upgrading infrastructure, and enhancing government engineering colleges and polytechnics.
