Bangladesh Navy (BN) and the US military personnel kicked off the annual Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) maritime exercise. It is a 9-day event that focuses on a full spectrum of naval capabilities and features Cooperative activities that highlight ability of US and Bangladesh to work together toward the common goal of ensuring a free and open Indo-pacific. It was first introduced in 2011.
