Bishesh Huirem becomes the first transgender actress who was honoured with the Best Actor Award in the prestigious Manipur State Film Awards.
She received the award for exceptional performance in the film ‘Apaiba Leichil’ (floating clouds) for portraying a transgender character. She also clinched the Special Mention Award.
