In the gauthans, women’s organisations are using cow manure gathered through the programme to generate large quantities of vermicompost, super compost, and other products. These goods are subsequently made available to government departments and farmers at reduced prices through cooperative societies. In addition to these efforts, women’s groups are generating profits by crafting and selling cow-based products like cow cast, diyas, incense sticks, and idols, alongside utilizing cow dung for manure. These groups are also actively involved in diverse income-generating activities, including vegetable and mushroom cultivation, poultry, goat farming, fisheries, and animal husbandry within the gauthans.
