China records world’s first human death from H3N8 bird flu: The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that a woman from Guangdong, a southern province of China, has died from a rare strain of bird flu that is not commonly found in humans. Despite the fact that three people have been verified to be sick with the H3N8 subtype of avian influenza, this strain does not appear to spread from person to person.
