Colin Powell, the first Black US secretary of state, passes away at 84

Colin Powell, the first African-American US Secretary of state and top military officer passed away at the age of 84 due to COVID-induced complications. 

Powell was the first Black United States’ secretary of state.

The African-American diplomat served as the 65th United States secretary of state from 2001 to 2005 under President George W. Bush administration.
