Fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform Myntra have named Nandita Sinha as its Chief Executive Officer.
Ms. Sinha succeeds Amar Nagaram, who quit Myntra last month after leading the company as the CEO for nearly three years. She will join Myntra from group company Flipkart, where, as Vice President, Customer Growth and Marketing, she is currently leading the overall charter for marketing. Before joining Flipkart, she was the co-founder at MyBabyCart.com, an e-commerce site.
Myntra is a major Indian fashion e-commerce company headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
The Indian Railways has issued an order to discontinue the ‘special’ tag for mail and express trains and to revert to pre-pandemic ticket prices with immediate effect.
Since the coronavirus-triggered lockdown was eased, the Railways has only been running special trains. It started with long-distance trains and now even short-distance passenger services are being run as special trains with “slightly higher fares” to discourage people from avoidable travels.
Tokyo Olympics gold medal-winning javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, along with eleven other athletes, received the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award from President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. He became the only second individual gold medalist from India at the Olympics and the first in athletics. The awards are given every year to recognize excellence in sports.

India’s retail inflation rate, measured by the Consumer Price Index or CPI, rose mildly in October to 4.48% year-on-year from 4.35% in September due to an uptick in food prices. The inflation was 7.61% in October last year. For the fourth month in a row, CPI has been below the Reserve Bank of India’s six percent margin. The RBI has projected the CPI inflation at 5.3 percent for 2021-22.
According to MoSPI data, inflation in the food basket rose to 0.85 percent in October, compared to 0.68 percent in the preceding month.

The Indian Railways has added Bhadrachalam in Telangana as one of the destinations in its Ramayana circuit of the pilgrim special train.
Union Minister for Culture G Kishan Reddy on Thursday (11 November) expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the inclusion of Bhadarchalam as one of the destinations in the Ramayana Circuit of the Pilgrim Special Train of the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
The Ramayana Circuit Train will connect all the important locations across the country associated with the life of Lord Rama. The Ramayana Yatra special train was inaugurated from Delhi on November 7 and will return to Delhi on November 23 after 17 days journey. The request to add the holy temple of Bhadrachalam was made by Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Shri G. Kishan Reddy.
