The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the re-appointment of Amitabh Chaudhry as the Managing Director & CEO of Axis Bank for a period of three years. The private lender confirmed the appointment and stated that it has received the central bank’s approval for Chaudhry’s re-appointment for another three-year period, with effect from 1 January 2022 to December 31, 2024.
Prior to joining Axis Bank, Mr Chaudhry was the MD and CEO of HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company.
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the appointment of Pradeep Kumar Panja as part-time Chairman of Karnataka Bank, the lender stated in a regulatory filing. The appointment will come into effect from November 14, 2021 for a period of three years.
He will succeed P Jayarama Bhat, who will retire on November 13, 2021.
Navrang Saini has been given an additional charge as interim Chairperson of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). Navrang Saini will hold the post for a period of three months, or until further orders.
Mr. Saini, who is a Whole Time Member of IBBI, has been assigned additional charge of Chairperson in addition to his existing duties. The post was lying vacant after M.S. Sahoo retired on September 30, after completing a five-year tenure.

World Sight Day is an annual day of awareness held on the second Thursday of October, to focus global attention on vision impairment, including blindness. This year, World Sight Day will take place on October 14, 2021, with the theme: Love Your Eyes.
