Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading global IT service, consulting, and business solutions organization, has joined the iconic British racing team Jaguar Racing as title partner ahead of the 2021/22 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The team will be known as Jaguar TCS Racing. TCS and Jaguar will create a dynamic platform that will drive research and innovation while steering towards advanced concepts and electric vehicle (EV) technologies.
The rebranding of the team also brings an all-new livery for 2022. The team heads into Season 8 on the back of its most successful Formula E campaign. Together with drivers Mitch Evans and Sam Bird, Jaguar was second overall in the 2021 Formula E World Championship.
Maharashtra-based mountaineer Priyanka Mohite will be bestowed with the prestigious ‘Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2020’ for her outstanding contribution in the field of land adventure. She scaled the world’s highest peak Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse, and Mt.Makalu. She is the 1st Indian woman to climb Mt Annapurna, the 10th highest mountain peak in the world.
Mohite, who hails from the Satara district, will receive the award from President Ram Nath Kovind at a function in the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on November 13.

The Bamboo and Cane Development Institute (BCDI) of Tripura, in partnership with the North East Centre of Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR), claimed to have developed the country’s first bamboo-made cricket bat, adhering to all the traditional manufacturing techniques used for producing cricket bats.
These bats could be used in all forms of cricket. The most preferred wood for the production of cricket bats is willow. The company’s CEO recently gave Biplab Kumar Deb a demonstration of the product.
Afghanistan’s ace leg-spinner Rashid Khan further enhanced his burgeoning reputation in T20 cricket as he picked up his 400th wicket during his team’s T20 World Cup 2021 Super 12 encounter against New Zealand at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Dubai. Martin Guptill became Rashid’s 400th victim in T20 cricket. Rashid joined an elite list of cricketers as he picked up his 400th wicket in the ongoing New Zealand vs Afghanistan T20 World Cup game. He is the 4th bowler to enter the 400 clubs after Dwayne Bravo (553), Sunil Narine (425), and Imran Tahir (420). Rashid became only the fourth bowler in history to achieve the remarkable feat. The 23-year-old spinner is now the quickest to reach the milestone, he achieved the landmark in his 289th T20 match.
Earlier, Rashid had become the fastest bowler to register 100 dismissals in Twenty20 Internationals during a T20 World Cup 2021 match against Pakistan. Rashid has 103 wickets for Afghanistan and 93 scalps for Sunrisers Hyderabad while the rest have come for the teams he plays for in different T20 tournaments around the world.

On 11 October 1987, the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987 was enacted, while the act took effect on 9 November 1995. The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) was constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 on 5 December 1995, to provide free Legal Services to the weaker sections of the society and to organize Lok Adalats for amicable settlement of disputes.

The State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a video life certificate service for pensioners. This new facility will allow pensioners to submit their life certificates via video from their homes. As per a press release issued by SBI, this facility is available for pensioners (other than family pensioners). Thus, the spouse of the pensioner receiving a pension from the government will not be able to use this facility. As per SBI, the process of video life certificates is paperless and free of cost.

Domestic rating agency Brickwork Ratings revised its growth estimate for the country’s GDP to 10-10.5% in the current financial year from an earlier expectation of a 9% growth.
Brickwork Ratings is a SEBI registered Credit Rating Agency with headquarter in Bengaluru. It expects the GDP growth for Q2 FY22 to be at 8.3 percent (year-on-year), on the back of a 7.4 percent contraction in Q2FY21. The country’s GDP grew at 20.1 percent in the first quarter of fiscal 2022.
Indian pair of Manika Batra and Archana Girish Kamath clinched the women’s doubles title in the WTT Contender tournament in Lasko on 7 November. The Indian pair defeated the Puerto Rican team of Melanie Diaz and Adriana Diaz, 11-3, 11-8, 12-10 to win the title.
Meanwhile, On Saturday, Manika Batra won a bronze medal after the Indian went down fighting to Wang Yidi of China by 2-4 in the semi-finals of women’s singles. Wang Yidi defeated Manika by 11-7, 7-11, 13-11, 10-12, 11-7, 11-5.
