In this scheme, the state govt. will provide financial assistance to construction workers in the wake of extended coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown.
This good news for providing financial aid to construction labourers under Delhi Rupees 5000 Scheme comes on 11 May 2020.
The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the Construction Workers Welfare Board, chaired by Labour Minister Gopal Rai.
The start date of registration of construction workers is 15 May 2020 while last date to apply online is 25 May 2020.
As per the initial updates, there are around 40,000 construction workers registered with the board in the national capital. All such workers will get Rs. 5,000 as assistance in Delhi region.
