Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Govt. Polytechnic Polytechnic Ambota was established in 1995 on Ambedkar Jyanti at villegae – Ambota, Tehsil – Amb, Distt. – Una in Himachal Pradesh. The polytechnic provides three years diploma courses in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture Assistantship disciplines. All courses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharmshala (H.P.) conducts semester examinations and Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT).
