Social: Social factors in the distribution of population are primarily affected in two ways: (i) social influences- each individual follow the norms of his society or cultural background, (ii) recreation area- people prefer to live in places which are conducive for relaxation and are culturally stimulating.
Cultural: Cultural factors are often overlooked when it comes to choosing a place to settle in. One of the variables in social demography is called cultural or religious heterogeneity. Places with religious or cultural significance attract people.
Economics: Economic factor influences the distribution of population. The income in better areas attracts people to dwell there in large numbers. As a result people move from rural areas to towns and cities in search of employment opportunities. The level of education, growth in industries and job opportunities are effective factors in affecting economic condition.
