The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2021 has been rescheduled between 17 February and 7 March. The recommendations were made by the FIFA-Confederations COVID-19 Working Group, the Bureau of the FIFA Council.
FIFA announced that the tournament will keep original eligibility criteria which are the players born on or after 1 January 2003 and on or before 31 December 2005 despite the postponement.
The U-17 Women’s World Cup was originally scheduled to be played across five host cities Navi Mumbai, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Bhubaneswar.
Also, it announced that the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Costa Rica/Panama 2020 has been rescheduled between 20 January and 6 February 2021. The tournament will keep original eligibility criteria for players born on or after 1 January 2000 and on or before 31 December 2004.
FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2020 has been rescheduled to be held between 12 September and 3 October 2021.
