Former Delhi Police commissioner Yudhbir Singh Dadwal died on Wednesday night at his Chattarpur home due to age-related illnesses, said police officials Thursday. He was 70.
Dadwal, a 1974 batch IPS officer, Dadwal had joined the Delhi Police as an additional deputy commissioner. He became the Delhi Police commissioner in 2007 and was transferred to Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as its Director General in 2010.
After retirement, he was appointed as the Director-General of the Central Paramilitary Force, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in November 2010.
In 2016, Dadwal was appointed as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh.
