Former Indian cricketer Chetan Chauhan passed away today following multiple organ failure at the age of 73 years. He was also a former minister of Uttar Pradesh as well as Minister of Sainik Welfare, Home Guards, PRD and Civil Security in the UP Cabinet.

Chetan Chauhan (1947 – 2020) played most of his international cricket in the late 1970s and was the regular opening partner of Sunil Gavaskar in test matches during that period.
Chauhan received the Arjuna award in 1981.
