The Government Polytechnic, Mahabubnagar is established in the year, 1956 with Three conventional courses (3) years full time Diploma programs in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical with an intake of 40 in each course. In the year 1986 DECE with 60 and in 1996 DAE with 60 seats are added.
