IIT Madras becomes first ever IIT to be set up outside India in Tanzania: Recently, the Ministry of External Affairs signed an MoU with the IIT Madras and the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training Zanzibar (Tanzania) to set up the first-ever IIT campus outside India.
