In a box, there are 10 red bananas, 25 burro bananas and X Manzano bananas. If 30% of the total number of bananas in the box is Manzano bananas, then find the probability of selecting one Manzano banana and one red banana from the box?

A. 11/49

B. 6/49

C. 5/49

D. 9/49

E. None of these

Sol:

The number of red bananas=10

The number of burro bananas=25

The number of Manzano bananas=30*35/70=15

The probability of selecting one Manzano bananas=15C1

The probability of selecting one red bananas=10C1

The probability of selecting one Manzano bananas and one red banana

=15C1*10C1/50C2=15*10/(50*49/2)=6/49
