Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy R. K. Singh met Denmark’s Minister for Climate, Energy, and Utilities, Dan Jørgensen, in New Delhi today. Mr. Singh underlined to the Danish side that energy transition towards green is an important part of India’s policy.
He pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech has set a target of 450 GigaWatt of Renewable Energy capacity by 2030.
Mr. Dan Jørgensen, Denmark Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, jointly launched ‘Centre of Excellence on Offshore Wind’, as part of the Green Strategic Partnership.
The Danish minister accompanied by a delegation of officials is on a visit to India to hold a meeting for cooperation in the field of Renewable Energy with a focus on Offshore Wind Energy. During the meeting held on September 09, 2021, both sides agreed to further cooperation in renewable energy, especially offshore wind, and green hydrogen.
