Asia Cup 2023 Format
- The tournament format and groupings for the forthcoming cricket event, revealed on January 9, 2023, have set the ground for an intriguing competition. The six participating teams have been divided into two groups of three each. Throughout the competition, 13 matches will be contested, including six league matches, six Super 4 matchups, and a final.
- Group A consists of India, Pakistan, and Nepal. These three teams emerged as champions in the qualifier event, the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup. On the other hand, Group B includes the defending champions, Sri Lanka, along with Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
- During the league stage, each team in their respective groups will compete against each other. After the completion of the league matches, the top two teams from both Group A and Group B will advance to the Super 4 stage.

About the Asian Cricket Council (ACC)
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is the continental governing body for cricket in Asia. It was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ACC has 25 member associations, including all the Test-playing nations in Asia. The ACC’s primary objectives are to promote and develop cricket in Asia, to organize international cricket tournaments in the region, and to represent the interests of its member associations at the International Cricket Council (ICC).
