India slips 6 ranks on Henley Passport Index 2021

India has slipped six places to 90 on the latest Henley Passport Index 2021 which measures and lists the world’s most travel-friendly passports each year. While Japan and Singapore have topped the rankings, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen are at the bottom. The index covers 227 destinations and 199 passports. The index comes at a time when countries are easing travel restrictions for international visitors after almost two years since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The rankings are based on the survey of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) data.
