India has become the global leader in passenger load factor (PLF) for domestic flights, achieving an impressive 86.4% in 2024, outpacing the US at 84.1% and China at 83.2%, as reported by the latest International Air Transport Association (IATA). India’s booming aviation sector carried 16.3 crore domestic passengers in 2024, highlighting its rapid growth and efficiency.
