He will serve the association for FY 2022-23. Generally, the senior most MD of a public sector bank is elected as chairman for a period of one year. IBA has also appointed Dinesh Khara (Chairman of SBI), A S Rajeev (MD & CEO of Bank of Maharashtra), and Madhav Nair (CEO of Mashreq Bank) as deputy chairman.
