The Under-20 Eurasian Athletics Championships held at Almaty, Kazakhstan,
India team won 5 gold and 3 silver medals
National teams from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,
Uzbekistan, Iran, India, and Tajikistan participated in a 2-day event held on
May 29-30, 2019.
Sreekiran bagged the boys’ 800m gold with a time
of 1:54.62
Rohit Yadav added the fifth gold medal to
India’s tally finishing on top in the boys’ javelin throw by clearing a
distance of 74.55m.
