Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) will send a half humanoid Vyommitra as a trial to space before Gaganyaan goes with astronauts. ISRO’s half humanoid Vyommitra will be placed in the first unmanned mission under ‘Gaganyaan’ and will simulate most of the human body functions. Vyommitra introduced herself as a prototype of the half humanoid being made for the first unmanned Gaganyaan mission to the visitors here at an event.

The Gaganyaan mission is aimed at sending astronauts to space in an orbital spacecraft. The four astronauts will receive training for 11 months. All the four astronauts selected for the mission are men but their identity cannot be revealed. After 11 months of training in Russia, the astronauts will receive module-specific training in India.
