Jharkhand Livelihood Promotion Skill Campaign
Jharkhand state government has started a livelihood promotion skills (ASHA) campaign for the economic empowerment of rural women. Along with this, the launch of Phulo Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan and the Palash Brand was unveiled by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on 29 September 2020.

Key-Points
The main objective of these schemes is to connect rural women with self-employment.
Through the livelihood enhancement skills campaign, 17 lakh rural women will be linked with strong means of livelihood.
Under ASHA scheme, self-employment opportunities related to local resources will also be made available to rural women, which are given below: –
- Agricultural livelihood
- Animal husbandry
- Forest produce
- Forest produce processing
- Entrepreneurship
Out of the nearly 4.71 lakh migrants recorded in the Mission Saksham database of Jharkhand, about 3.6 lakh migrant families will benefit under ASHA.
A provision of about 1200 crores has also been made under various projects run by Jharkhand State Livelihoods Project under Rural Development Department.
