He was the three-time MLA, who has represented Saudatti legislative assembly constituency in Karnataka. In 2020, he was unanimously elected as the deputy speaker of Karnataka legislative assembly. He was the son of Chandrashekhar M Mamani, who also served as the deputy speaker in the 1990s.
