Legendary Kenyan Conservationist and Fossil-hunter Richard Leaky passes away at 77

Richard Leakey, a world-renowned Kenyan conservationist and fossil hunter has died aged 77.

His groundbreaking work contributed to the recognition of Africa as the birthplace of humankind. Turkana boy is the most complete fossil Skelton of a human ancestor ever found. Paleoanthropology is the study of human evolution through the fossil and archaeological records. Leakey is also known to spearhead campaigns against the ivory trade to save the population of African elephants.
