About University
Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) was established in 1966, is one of the oldest universities in the country covering four districts of Madurai, Virudhunagar, Dindugal, and Theni for its regular academic program. It is a statutory University-owned and funded by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The university holds the NIRF 2019 rank of 45 among all other universities of India.
