MeitY Unveils AIKosha: A Secure Hub for AI Innovation

The Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, Railways, and Information & Broadcasting, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, celebrated a significant milestone in India’s AI journey by launching several important initiatives under the IndiaAI Mission during its anniversary event in New Delhi. These initiatives are designed to enhance AI-driven research, foster innovation, and promote skill development, further solidifying India’s status as a global leader in AI.

Key Initiatives Launched

AIKosha: IndiaAI Datasets Platform

  • A secure platform that offers datasets, models, and practical use cases.
  • It includes AI sandbox features, content discoverability, and scoring for AI readiness.
  • Data security is prioritized through encryption, secure APIs, and real-time filtering.

IndiaAI Compute Portal

  • Provides AI compute, storage, and cloud services at lower rates.
  • Showcases high-end GPUs such as NVIDIA H100, AMD MI300x, and AWS Tranium.
  • Allows for up to a 40% subsidy on AI compute services for eligible clients.

AI Competency Framework for Public Sector Officials

  • Equips officials with AI competency mapping and upskilling programs.
  • Aligns with global best practices for AI policy-making and implementation.

iGOT-AI: AI-Powered Personalized Learning for Government Officials

  • Integrates AI-driven learning recommendations on the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
  • Enhances training and skill development in the public sector.

IndiaAI Startups Global Acceleration Program with Station F

  • A 4-month program in collaboration with STATION F & HEC Paris.
  • Supports 10 AI startups with mentorship, networking, and global market expansion.

IndiaAI Innovation Challenge

  • Focuses on AI solutions in healthcare, climate change, governance, agriculture, and learning disabilities.
  • Over 900 AI solutions submitted; 30 shortlisted for further development.

IndiaAI FutureSkills & Fellowship Program

  • Supports AI education at UG, PG, and Ph.D. levels.
  • AI courses introduced in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other institutions.
  • IndiaAI Data Labs established in Tier 2 & 3 cities for foundational AI courses.
