Mohd Azharuddin unveils world’s largest cricket bat in Hyderabad
Certified by Guinness World Records, the world’s largest cricket bat, was unveiled in Hyderabad on 23 October 2021 by former Indian captain Mohammed Azharuddin. Unveiled on the eve of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Pernod Ricard dedicated the bat to the Indian team.
The unique bat has been designed by Pernod Ricard India (P) Ltd and has been fabricated by BSL Events. It is made of poplar wood. The bat measures 56.10 feet long and weighs nine tonnes or 9000 kg. Currently the bat is placed for display on Tank Bund in Hyderabad till November 16, 2021, after which it shall be shifted at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Uppal for display.
