On 23rd October every year mole day is celebrated which is popular amongst all chemistry enthusiasts. This day is marked to commemorate and honour the Avogadro‘s number.
Celebrated by chemists annually from 6.02 am to 6.02 pm on October 23rd, Mole Day commemorates Avogadro’s number (6.022 x 1023), which is the number of atoms in exactly 12 grams of carbon-12 (one mole). This was founded by the National Mole Day Foundation on 15th May 1991. This occasion aims to make the students interested in chemistry and its concepts. The theme for the occasion, inspired by the mascot – A Mole. This year the theme is DispicaMole Me.
