About Tool Room and Training Centre
The Government of India, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (formerly known as SSI) in its endeavour to provide the right stimulus for the growth of the industry in the country particularly with the objective of supporting the micro, small and medium enterprises, It has established MSME Tool Room (Central Tool Room & Training Centre), Kolkata. This Tool Room provides invaluable service to the industry by way of precision tooling and providing well trained craftsman in the area of the tool and die making. Setting of this Tool Room with Training Centre led to the dawn of a new era in the field of tooling and co-related activities in India which is highly proficient in mould and die making technology and promote precision and quality in the development and manufacture of sophisticated moulds, dies and tools. This Tool Room is equipped with the best technology and is abreast with the latest advancements in the field and periodically add new technology like CAD/CAM, CNC machining, Vacuum Heat Treatment and Rapid Prototyping.
