NABARD named Shri Shaji KV as Chairman: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development’s new chairman is K V Shaji. Prior to May 21, 2020, he was the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of NABARD. He is an agricultural graduate with a PGDM in Public Policy from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad.

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is an apex regulatory body for overall regulation of regional rural banks and apex cooperative banks in India. Government of India’s Ministry of Finance is in charge of it.  The bank has been entrusted with “matters concerning policy, planning, and operations in the field of credit for agriculture and other economic activities in rural areas in India”.
