NABARD named Shri Shaji KV as Chairman: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development’s new chairman is K V Shaji. Prior to May 21, 2020, he was the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of NABARD. He is an agricultural graduate with a PGDM in Public Policy from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad.

- He served Canara Bank in a variety of capacities for 26 years. He was in charge of strategy, planning, and business development at Canara Bank’s corporate headquarters. He also played a role in the merger of Syndicate Bank and Canara Bank.
- He formerly held positions in Kerala Gramin Bank, the nation’s biggest regional rural bank, and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). He held the position of Chairman of Kerala Grameen Bank from 2013 to 2017. Shaji KV is a native of Thiruvananthapuram.
