Nachimuthu Polytechnic College was established in the year 1957, by ArutchelvarDr.N.Mahalingam in memory of his beloved father, Thiru.P.NachimuthuGounder. Thiru.P.NachimuthuGounder was a embodiment of hard work, Sincerity, truthfulness and perseverance. He established the Anamalais Bus Transport Company, a pioneer in road transport industry in Tamilnadu. He desired to impart technical education and training to the young students of Pollachi and the rural areas in its neighbourhood. His cherished desire was fulfilled by his worthy son Dr.N.Mahalingam. Nachimuthu Polytechnic College is having a wide areas of 60 acres with green environment. It is situated 3 km from Pollachi town Pollachi – Palani Road. In the 44th year of its functioning, it has grown to become one of the foremost Aided Polytechnics in TamilNadu. The college has to its credit, the autonomous status from 1991:1992 onwards, ISO 9001:2008 certification by STQC, Govt. of India, New Delhi from 2001 and fifty years of completion in 2007, jubilantly celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year. With a vow to eradicate illiteracy and enlighten everyone with knowledge and wisdom, the college thus marches. The invaluable support and patronage of our chairman and our Vice-chairman, the forward looking and hard work of our Secretary, Principal and a committed team of faculty have made institute to attain a unique status in the international level. The standard of education imparted to our students is of world class. Our faculty and facilities are modern.
