National Award-winning actor Nedumudi Venu passes away at 73
National Award-winning Malayalam actor Kesavan Venugopal, known by his stage name Nedumudi Venu, has sadly passed away. He was 73. The actor was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. He was suffering from liver-related ailments.
Nedumudi Venu began his career as a theatre artist. He debuted in films with Thambu, directed by G Aravindan in 1978.
He also worked in Malayalam and Tamil movies in over 500 movies including Aravam, Vidaparayum Munpe, Kallan Pavithran, Chamaram, Bharatham, Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam, Chithram, Thenmavin Kombath, His Highness Abdullah, Margam and Arimpara.
Nedumudi Venu received three National Film Awards and six Kerala State Film Awards for his performances.
