Newly Constructed National Martyr’s Memorial Unveiled at Jagjivan RPF Academy Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Shri Sanjay Chander, Director General of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), dedicated the newly built National Martyr’s Memorial and National Museum for Railway Security at Jagjivan RPF Academy in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This martyr’s memorial is spread over an area of 4800 square meters and on this memorial, the names of 1014 martyred RPF personnel from 1957 till date have been inscribed and tribute has been paid to them on behalf of the RPF.

Exploring the Rich Heritage and Achievements of the Railway Protection Force
- The museum provides visitors with a full understanding of the Railway Protection Force’s history, origin, accomplishments, duties, and responsibilities.
- Spanning an area of 9000 sq. ft, it features 37 thematic display panels, 11 display cabinets, an infographic detailing the policing history, 87 artifacts, 500 pages from the National Archives of India, 36 antiquated weapons, 150 railway-related security items, and 15 mannequins representing various ranks within the Railway Protection Force, along with various other significant exhibits.
Guiding motto
The guiding motto of this museum is ‘Gyanvardhanayachsanrakshanaya‘ which serves as a perpetual inspiration for the RPF to foster knowledge and safeguard heritage.
Unveiling of Impressive Additions at the Academy Campus
The Director General of Railway Protection Force also inaugurated numerous other notable enhancements to the academy campus, including a War Trophy T-55 tank received from Central Armoured Fighting Vehicle Depot Kirkee, Khadki, Pune, which now adorns the campus. Moreover, the newly constructed Badminton and Lawn Tennis Court and the establishment of the Special Band of RPF were also part of the unveiling ceremony.
