Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla wins $1 million Genesis Prize for COVID-19 vaccine development
Albert Bourla, chairman and chief executive of global pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc., was awarded on on January 19, 2022 the prestigious Genesis Prize for his efforts in leading the development of a COVID-19 vaccine. The award comes with cash prize of $1 million.
The annual prize is awarded to Jewish people who have achieved significant professional success, in recognition of their accomplishments, contributions to humanity, and commitment to Jewish values and/or to the State of Israel. It is widely referred to as the “Jewish Nobel Prize”
