In Jammu and Kashmir, the 10-day pilgrimage to Shri Baba Buddha Amarnath in the Loran Valley of Poonch district began today and will conclude on the 19th of this month, coinciding with Sawan Purnima and Raksha Bandhan. The journey is marked by tight security and significant arrangements to accommodate the influx of pilgrims.

Departure Point
The first batch departed from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu.

Pilgrims: Approximately 700 devotees from Karnataka, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh are participating.

The Shri Buddha Amarnath Temple is located in the Mandi area of Poonch district, 290 km from Jammu, situated 4600 feet above sea level by the river Pulasti.
