Pilgrimage to Shri Baba Buddha Amarnath Commences in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, the 10-day pilgrimage to Shri Baba Buddha Amarnath in the Loran Valley of Poonch district began today and will conclude on the 19th of this month, coinciding with Sawan Purnima and Raksha Bandhan. The journey is marked by tight security and significant arrangements to accommodate the influx of pilgrims.

Date and Duration

The pilgrimage started today and will end on August 19.
Significance: The yatra is considered incomplete without visiting Baba Buddha Amarnath, complementing the Amarnath yatra in Anantnag, Kashmir.

Departure Point

The first batch departed from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu.

Security Arrangements

Tight security measures are in place to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.
Pilgrims: Approximately 700 devotees from Karnataka, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh are participating.

Temple Location

The Shri Buddha Amarnath Temple is located in the Mandi area of Poonch district, 290 km from Jammu, situated 4600 feet above sea level by the river Pulasti.
