PMAY-G aims to achieve the objective of Housing for all by 2022
Union Government aims to achieve objective of Housing for All by 2022 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Grameen (PMAY-G). A total of over one crore 50 lakh rural houses have been completed in the last five years. The eligible beneficiaries will get one crore 95 lakh houses in the second phase of the scheme. Government has set a target of 60 lakh houses for the current financial year.

Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana(PMAY-G), previously
Indira Awaas Yojana, is a social welfare flagship programme, created by the
Indian Government, to provide housing for the rural poor in India. A similar
scheme for urban poor was launched in 2015 as Housing for All by 2022.
