Former Union minister and chief of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Ajit Singh passed away at the age of 82.

Chaudhary Ajit Singh (1939 –2021) was an Indian politician.
He was the founder and chief of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), a political party recognized in western part of state of Uttar Pradesh.
He was son of former Prime Minister of India late Chaudhary Charan Singh.
He was Minister of Industry in V. P. Singh’s cabinet from 1989 to 1990. He served as Minister of Food in P. V. Narasimha Rao’s cabinet. From 2001 to 2003, he was union Minister of Agriculture. He was union Minister of Civil Aviation from 2011 to 2014.
